It is also known as the Someshwara Ghat because of the presence of lingam of Lord Someshwar, which is another manifestation of Lord Shiva. Man Mandir Ghat is most known for the astronomical observatory that was built here by Maharaja Jai Singh. Tulsi Ghat
One of the ghats in Varanasi is known as the Tulsi Ghat. It was given that name in honor of the poet Tulsidas, who penned the Ramcharitmanas and the Hanuman Chalisa while he was there.
